Description:
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
CAPTRUST is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Senior Institutional Training Specialist to oversee and deliver institutional training across the Institutional Client Service and Operations department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing learning programs within the financial services industry and can cater their curriculum to different levels and learning styles. This role will also serve as a subject matter expert on processes and technology within the team.
Responsibilities:
Training Strategy:
- Develop training plan and curriculum to be used with new hires and existing members of Institutional Client Service and Operations
- Customize training plan to cover differing roles and levels of experience
- Ensure team members are exposed to both training on internal processes and retirement industry knowledge
- Establish structure of both live and on demand modules and incorporate into CAPTRUST’s firmwide learning management platform
- Research external learning opportunities and make recommendations for team member participation
- Collaborate with Human Resources and leadership to promote CAPTRUST culture and behavioral standards
Technical Guidance:
- Provide daily support and information on client service operational processes
- Monitor centralized support inbox and assist with questions or directs to subject matter experts
- Deliver training courses and monitor completion by participants
- Maintain communications to ensure team members have knowledge of training and procedural updates along with associated resources
Knowledge Library and Training Content:
- Create and maintain process documentation, user guides, and daily resources on team intranet site
- Collaborate with operations teams to properly document technical processes, procedures, reporting tools, and client deliverable procedures
- Create additional training modules and update as needed with updated procedures and changing industry regulations and trends
- Leverage subject matter experts within team to assist with role specific content and establish focused workshop series
- Expand training program to include essential client service soft skills and professional content
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- College degree or equivalent years of experience
- A minimum of 8+ years’ experience working for an organization that provides retirement plan services for 401(k), 403(b), Non-Qualified or Defined Benefit plans
- Understanding of retirement plans from an operational, record-keeping, and investment perspective
Desired Qualifications/Skills:
- 5+ years of experience training employees in the financial services or retirement plan industry
- Proven experience in mentoring and training
- Proven ability to present complex training topics to adult learners in a group or 1:1 setting
- Proficient in PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of CRM systems and client reporting
- Adept with multimedia training platforms
- Outstanding problem-solving abilities
