The key skills and competencies we are seeking in the successful candidate include:
- Relevant tertiary or vocational qualifications
- A current drivers license and vehicle
- Minimum of 4 years of internal audit experience, with a proven ability to effectively deliver on scoping, execution, and reporting
- Experience in the entertainment, theme park, or cinema industries will be highly regarded
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management, project management, and prioritisation abilities
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Senior Internal Auditor to join our Risk and Internal Audit team at Village Roadshow. This role will predominantly encompass coverage of our network of entertainment sites spanning Victoria and Tasmania. The Senior Internal Auditor will be instrumental in evaluating the effectiveness of our risk management, control, and governance processes in order to provide valuable insights to drive organisational improvement. This role requires a sharp analytical mind, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of internal auditing practices.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Perform internal audits and reviews, ensuring alignment with the Group Risk and Internal Audit methodology, standards, and timelines
- Conduct risk assessments, plan and scope audits, execute walkthroughs and fieldwork, and deliver comprehensive reports
- Prepare and maintain internal audit deliverables, including working papers, reports, status updates, and analysis of key trends
- Identify and assess risks, control effectiveness, governance, and compliance issues, providing actionable recommendations based on industry best practices
- Deliver high-quality reports that clearly communicate findings, risks, and recommendations to senior management and the audit committee
- Support business divisions in identifying current and emerging risks, ensuring adequate controls are in place to mitigate these risks
- Assist in conducting annual risk workshops to promote risk awareness and maintain up-to-date risk profiles
- Provide risk management advice to business divisions, and reporting to the Risk Committee and the Board
- Conduct risk reviews across critical functions, new projects, and existing processes
