Description:
We’re looking for a Senior Internal Communications Manager to join us in Amsterdam!
We are searching for a forward thinker with experience and ambition to help us deliver on our bold targets and mission to become an outstanding function.
Based in Amsterdam, you will be instrumental in delivering communications initiatives across our 36,000 employees.
At a time when change is constant and clear messaging more important than ever, you will help build and deliver a plan that will enable Liberty Global to achieve its business priorities and live our purpose and culture.
You will need to demonstrate an excellent level of writing ability and a healthy dose of creativity to produce engaging content, along with an in-depth knowledge of internal communications channels.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead the effective planning and delivery of high-quality internal communications to drive our strategic priorities
- Lead the development of messaging and materials which tell the Liberty Global story to employees in a compelling, and inspirational and human way
- Lead the delivery of the Culture, Engagement and Communications strategy: helping coordinate internal communications and functional communications needs
- Provide communications counsel to senior leaders, develop and maintain positive relationships
- Leadership, development and execution of an Internal Communications strategy
- Build relationships with employees and key senior business leaders, acting as trusted advisor to shape key business decisions and outcomes
- Lead planning delivery for all Executive Leadership Team led communications, covering key moments within Liberty Global and across the Liberty family
- Working across ELT areas to develop Internal Communications strategies aligned with Liberty Global’s Purpose to build “Tomorrow’s Connections Today”
- Evaluate the effectiveness of our communications and channels and guide leaders on the best way to use communication to achieve business outcomes
- Stay on top of the latest developments and expertise in the Internal Communications industry, identifying best-in-practice approaches we can apply
We tend to look for people with:
- Relevant work experience in communications
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, Teams) and able to adapt to new technology/tools
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Comprehensive understanding of the full range of communication channels and their effectiveness to deliver desired messages
- Creative problem solver with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional business partnering skills with the most senior leaders in the organisation – able to build relationships, constructively challenge and guide and counsel appropriately.
- Exceptional business and creative writing skills
