Description:
The Internal Sales Consultant will promote Vanguard’s products and services to Bank Private Wealth Clients for the purpose of winning new business as measured by attaining specific sales goals. Partners with External Sales to help drive new business and relationship management within a channel and territory. This Hybrid Role (in office Tues-Wed-Thurs) can be based in either Malvern, PA, or Scottsdale, AZ
QUALIFICATIONS
- Five years related work experience. Relationship or account management experience preferred. One year prior internal sales experience preferred.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- This job requires a regulatory license and/or registration (e.g. FINRA, state, SFC). These will be determined by Compliance based on role-specific duties.
Responsibilities:
- Achieves sales and sales activity goals as set by sales leadership team and drives new business within a channel or territory.
- Asks open questions to prospects and clients. Identifies related investment and service needs based on probing questions and moves clients through the sales process.
- Delivers key messages through targeted prospecting activities. Raises client and prospect awareness of Vanguard’s products and services.
- Conducts advanced needs analysis of client’s financial circumstances to best position products and services that Vanguard offers based on information shared by the client.
- Identifies client’s non-Vanguard assets and shares comparable Vanguard products and services along with Vanguard’s value proposition to drive additional business. Utilizes market and product knowledge to highlight advantages and disadvantages of alternative investments.
- Partners with External Sales Executives in the development and execution of business plans to generate assets and close new business within the channel or territory.
- Partners with other departments as necessary to move clients to the next stage of the sales process.
