About the role:
Our Canadian operations is currently looking for a Senior Investment Associate to join a Chairman’s Club team in our Vancouver office. The Advisor and team assist their clients with portfolio management, estate planning, and implementing effective transition strategies for family wealth and business ownership.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for clients;
  • Manage the complete new client onboarding process;
  • Use in depth knowledge of complex client accounts (managed accounts, trusts, holdcos) to get documents in order and keep accounts in good order;
  • Work alongside client service team to manage the schedule, organize client meetings and collect all paperwork as required;
  • High level knowledge of compliance issues and administration of a wealth management business is required;
  • Ability to execute trades when required;
  • High level client communication and ability to engage in a friendly manner on the phone and in person is a must;
  • Business is 90% managed accounts but the ability to trade in one-off scenarios is a big asset.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in a Wealth Management team under an established Advisor;
  • Licensed as an Investment Representative (IR) or Registered Representative (RR) with the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO), and a well-rounded knowledge of the securities industry;
  • Passionate about the industry, committed to client satisfaction;
  • Superior customer service skills and ability to work with clients and employees at all levels;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Must be results driven and take strong initiative;
  • Professional, responsible and ability to work independently.
