As part of our commitment to operational excellence, we are expanding our IT capabilities and are seeking a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to help design, manage, and optimize our growing IT infrastructure.
The Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of SRTX’s IT infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, security, and scalability. This role will involve managing critical systems such as servers, networks, storage, and cloud environments, while also playing a key part in developing and executing the company’s IT infrastructure strategy.
Reporting to the Director of IT, the Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer will work closely with other teams to support the company’s advanced manufacturing and automation initiatives, providing essential infrastructure support for business operations.
This position is a hands-on technical role that requires expertise in network architecture, server management, virtualization, cloud solutions, and cybersecurity.
Responsibilities:

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with strong hands-on expertise in network architecture, server management, and cloud infrastructure.
• Expertise in configuring and managing firewalls, switches, and other network devices.
• Strong experience with virtualization technologies (proxmox an asset) and cloud platforms
• Proven experience in designing and implementing secure, scalable IT infrastructures in a manufacturing or industrial environment is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and data protection practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead or contribute to multiple infrastructure projects simultaneously.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and support other departments.
• Strong knowledge of Linux
