Exciting opportunity for an IT Project Manager to join a dynamic and complex project delivery portfolio for an initial Fixed Term full time opportunity.

The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Project Manager to lead and deliver high-impact projects within our project delivery portfolio. Reporting to (the relevant department head), you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery from initiation to completion.
This role provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to the University’s strategic priorities by managing projects that enhance operational efficiency, improve stakeholder experience, and deliver measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Lead the execution of projects to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to the desired quality standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across various levels to align project objectives with organizational goals.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to maintain momentum and success.
- Communicate project progress, challenges, and outcomes effectively to stakeholders and leadership.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive project environment to ensure team alignment and productivity.
- Drive continuous improvement by analysing project performance and implementing lessons learned.
About You
You are an experienced IT Project Manager with:
- A proven track record of managing complex projects across multiple stakeholders and disciplines, with proven expertise focussing on Applications based projects, ideally covering corporate systems, asset management, HCM (Workday etc.)
- Solid organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams.
- Proven, confident stakeholder engagement and management experience
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools, with relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile) being highly desirable.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related discipline (e.g., IT, Business or Finance)
- Certification in project management methodologies (Agile, PRINCE2, PMP) is highly desirable.
- Previous experience working in the higher education, research, or similar sectors is advantageous.
