Overview:
As a Senior JAVA Developer, you will be working on an Integrated Supervision and Control System (ISCS) project. This system integrates SCADA solutions to monitor and control critical infrastructure (e.g., power equipment, tunnel ventilation, elevators) and Train Management Systems (TMS) to oversee train operations according to schedules and energy constraints. You will contribute to building a scalable, standardized platform that enhances efficiency in managing infrastructure and train movements.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain JAVA-based software solutions for the ISCS, focusing on SCADA and Train Management systems.
• Implement scalable and efficient backend services using Java, Spring, and Microservices architecture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop new features and improvements for the platform.
• Integrate various external systems and technologies, ensuring smooth communication through standardized interfaces.
• Participate in DevOps activities, ensuring smooth CI/CD deployments in a multi-environment setup.
• Write and maintain technical documentation, including functional specifications and design documents.
• Work within an Agile team, contributing to sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
• Ensure code quality and application performance through testing, debugging, and code reviews.

Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a JAVA Developer
• At least 3 years of experience working on complex, large-scale projects within the same organization.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Framework, and Microservices architecture.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for automated deployment.
• Proficient in working with Windows and Linux operating systems (CentOS, RedHat, etc.).
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue-tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; French proficiency is a plus.
• Ability to work in an Agile environment and adapt to fast-changing project requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.
• High attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with frontend frameworks (React, Angular, etc.).
• Familiarity with Capella, a model-based engineering solution.
• Previous experience with SCADA systems or train management solutions is highly desirable.
