Job Description
In our international team of multidisciplinary Squads, part of the Daily Banking tribe, you will contribute to building next-generation banking applications. As a Senior Java Software Engineer, you’ll be instrumental in developing scalable, resilient, and real-time banking processes, delivering near real-time information to millions of savings account holders across the Netherlands. This role offers a unique chance to work on the technical core applications used by millions of customers through various channels.

What you’ll be working on
As part of an Agile Team, we will collaborate to implement and integrate a banking feature into one of the most widely used financial control panels for managing your money.

What you’ll do

• Innovate, create, and improve our digital channels and customer experience
• Collaborate with Software Engineer, Azure DevOps, PO
• Develop backend solutions using technologies such as Java, Spring, Maven, Azure, Kafka,
• Drive (test) automation, continuous delivery, and deployment using tools like Azure DevOps, SonarQube, and Kubernetes
• Take ownership and be responsible for refining, coding, testing, and deploying your work in on-premise and cloud environments
• Solve technical and functional challenges with self-motivation and an itch for innovation
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams and embrace an Agile way of working

What you offer us

• Strong proficiency in software Java development
• Thorough understanding of (test) automation, continuous delivery, and deployment tools and pipelines
• DevOps mindset with the ability to refine, code, test, and deploy your own work
• Strong analytical skills and conceptual/architectural understanding

Considered a plus

• Other tools we are working with, but not required: Prisma, Oracle, Lit Web components, NPM, Fortify, OpenShift
• Lead development experience is a plus
