Description:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Analytics Consultantto support our commercial client profitability tools team within the Corporate and Investment Banking Finance. This individual will bring a strategic mindset, strong analytical skills, and a passion for leveraging data to drive business decisions. They will lead the strategy and resolution of complex analytical challenges, facilitate data-driven decision-making, and serve as an experienced advisor for profitability and capital/balance sheet-related matters. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in advanced analytics, data modeling, and statistical analysis, and will collaborate with stakeholders, partners, and agile delivery teams both within the team and across the organization to deliver impactful insights.
In this role, you will:
- Act as an advisor to senior leadership to develop or influence analytical strategies for highly complex business and technical needs.
- Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring analytical application of industry techniques and advanced data from multiple sources across the enterprise.
- Deliver solutions that are long-term, large-scale, and require vision, innovation, and coordination of highly complex activities.
- Provide vision, direction, and expertise to senior leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions that align to the enterprise.
- Ensure adherence to compliance and legal regulations and policies on all projects managed.
- Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of Analytics, Reporting, Financial Modeling, or Statistics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Desired Qualifications:
- Ability to synthesize disparate information into a cohesive strategy and execution plan
- Outstanding critical thinking, analysis and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or within cross-functional working groups
- Ability to communicate complex topics in a simplified manner
- Familiarity with CIB / CB’s product offerings, financial statement and the primary factors influencing profitability at the business and credit product levels.
- High proficiency with SQL, Python, PowerBI, Excel and familiarity with summarizing findings in PowerPoint
- Strong verbal and written presentation skills with the ability to influence various levels of management within finance and across CIB and CB businesses
- Demonstrates a keen sense of urgency in delivering work product while being able to prioritize and balance multiple projects concurrently
- Familiarity with regulatory capital rules and internal financial performance management concepts like funds transfer pricing and capital allocation is a plus
