Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Knowledge and understanding of data management concepts, processes, tools, infrastructure, and environments
  • Experience outlining data strategy to provide single source of truth data solution
  • Experience with both Financial GL data as well as Analytic and Operational Data
  • Experience organizing and updating metadata
  • Experience extracting data for evaluatio

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead on the Personal Lending Data, Analytics & Reporting Team as a part of Consumer Lending. Learn more about the career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com.

The Senior Lead will lead a complex and strategic data project responsible for integrating our Finance Essbase data with Analytic and Operational data, providing scripting and forecast automation that provides our business partners with industry leading data support. In addition, this Senior Lead will assist in Strategic Roadmap initiatives that lead our data environments to one source, and eventually to the Cloud environment. The role will support all areas across Personal Lending including Product, Marketing, Operations, Shared Services, Credit Risk and Finance as well as partner with the Analytics, Campaign Marketing, and Reporting verticals delivering across these critical areas:

  • Database Management, Maintenance, and Support
  • Single Source of Truth Development
  • Managing Sub Domains and ABO’s
  • EUCT Oversight

This is a highly visible strategic lead role requiring an ability to help create and build the Data Management strategy, partner with technology, and provide direction to others including peers, contractors, and offshore partners. Candidates with experience in converting Essbase platforms to integrated and curated data solutions is extremely preferred, however candidates with a strong background standing up a data management function and platform in the financial services/banking industry will be strongly considered.

In this role, you will:

  • Act as an advisor to leadership to develop or influence objectives, plans, specifications, resources, and long-term goals for highly complex business and technical needs
  • Design and conduct highly complex analysis to identify and remediate data quality or integrity issues and to identify and remediate process or control gaps
  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking
  • Evaluate data quality metrics and data quality audits to benchmark the state of data quality
  • Provide vision, direction, and expertise to senior leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions
  • Recommend remediation of process or control gaps that align to management strategy
  • Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership
  • Represent client in cross-functional groups to develop companywide data governance strategies
  • Partner with groups companywide to coordinate and drive collaboration on solution design and remediation execution
