Description:
Senior Lead - GCOO Governance Role-holder is responsible for development, establishment and implementation of robust governance frameworks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. The Role facilitates key GCOO Governance Forums, including preparation of effective, executive-level, high-quality, strategic-focused Governance Papers (BOARD, BEC, EXCO, GCEO), and Special Presentations when required.
Senior Lead - GCOO Governance is accountable to manage the GCOO-GCHRO Scorecard to ensure progress, execution and achievement of Bank Strategic Priorities and Initiatives. The Role-holder requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and deep understanding of Emirates NBD Corporate Governance practices.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:-
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, or related. Master’s Degree or MBA (Preferred).
- Minimum 10 Years of Professional Experience in Risk Management and Control , with at least 5 Years in a Senior Governance Role .
- Experience in developing Board and Executive Committee Papers and Steering Committee Packs, preferably in Banking and Financial sector.
- Strong Governance, Business Management and Analytical Skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, resilience working under pressure.
- Strong Stakeholder Management and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and ensure timely review and submission of effective, executive-level, high-quality, strategic-focused Governance Papers (BOARD, BEC, EXCO, GCEO).
- Establish and implement the GCOO Management Committee aligned to the Bank Strategic Priorities and providing enhanced visibility of Business-Operations Performance SLAs.
- Prepare Steering Committee and Key Governance Forums Meeting Papers, Minutes and Action Trackers.
- Manage GCOO-GCHRO Scorecard to ensure progress, execution and achievement of Bank Strategic Priorities and Initiatives.
- Establish GCOO-GCHRO Department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure efficiency and productivity.
- Undertake GCOO-GCHRO Department monthly progress and performance tracking against established KPIs.
- Develop, implement and maintain GCOO-GCHRO Governance Frameworks to ensure consistent management and control.
- Monitor GCOO-GCHRO Departments and Units performance and compliance with governance standards, policies, and procedures.
- Undertake periodic review of GCOO Policies and Procedures to ensure they remain accurate, up-to-date, operationally embedded
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Internal and External Stakeholders to support effective governance management.
- Develop and manage GCOO Governance Calendar to ensure proactive preparation, review, finalization and submission across Emirates NBD Governance (BOARD, BEC, EXCO, GCEO).
- Engage with Key Stakeholders to ensure awareness, ownership and effectiveness of GCOO-GCHRO Governance Frameworks .Implement best practices and lessons learned to enhance Governance Papers (BOARD, BEC, EXCO, GCEO) and GCOO Management Committee and Steering Committees materials.
