Responsibilities:
As the Senior Leading Hand, you will coordinate and lead a team in completing the erection and dismantling of scaffolding in accordance with project specifications and Australian standards. Located in Tamworth, you will work on large commercial projects worth $400million, requiring strong communication and leadership skills.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Erect, modify and dismantle scaffolding as per Australian Standards and job specifications.
- Interpret plans, drawings and written instructions.
- Meet both quality and productivity targets in erecting and dismantling scaffolding.
- Complete handover certificates and scaffold tags
- Delegate responsibilities to team members based on strengths, weaknesses, skill, and will.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety control measures.
- Complete various site-specific forms including site diaries and day labour dockets.
- Organise team to complete scaffolds efficiently and safely.
- Design scaffold solutions and create manual gear lists.
- Co-ordinate works with site foreman.
- Conduct daily pre-start meetings and toolbox talks.
- Follow injury management procedures.
