The Human Capital Management team is looking for another talented professional to complement their team, in the form of a Senior Learning & Development Consultant.

The below listed responsibilities and requirements is assessed during the interview stages and will further be confirmed with the relevant professional references that you currently are or have reported to in your previous two positions.
Core Purpose of the Role:
To devise our organization L&D strategy, oversee its implementation and assess its outcomes. Identify L&D needs and drive suitable initiatives that build loyalty to the company. The goal is to enhance employees’ skills, performance, productivity and quality of work. The role also includes regular engagement with internal and external stakeholders including staff, management and executives to identify and address their learning and development needs.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Develop and execute the overall training and development strategy.
  • Conduct a L&D needs analysis to determine the training and development objectives and prioritize for the organization.
  • Through leadership and management of training processes and systems, ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. (SETA Compliance/CPD accreditation, Certificates issued).
  • Develop and implement training curriculum using multiple methodologies and platforms.
  • Conduct effective induction and orientation sessions.
  • Direct and manage the organization training resources (outside vendors, e-learning, colleges and universities) for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Partner with senior leadership to, develop and implement a talent management program for the organization including succession planning and leadership development.
  • Monitor and evaluate training program’s effectiveness, success and ROI periodically and report on them.
  • Manage company skills matrices and identify skills gaps.
  • Manage the training budget.
  • Manage training programmes:
  • Develop multimedia visual aids and presentations.
  • Maintain and keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices.
  • Co-ordinate the GIBB mentorship process.
  • Manage, collation and submission of the WSP and ATR.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports and statistics (Tender, BBBEE, training stats):
  • Prepare training and development progress reports.
  • Check and approve all external training requests.
  • Manage bursary and Learnerships process.
  • Update Training calendar for GIBB.
  • Manage BBBEE compliance relating to skills development

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or similar with a training & development specialisation.
  • Qualified SDF.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience designing and delivering a corporate training programs and leadership development programs.
  • Experience in conducting needs assessments and performance gap analysis required.
  • Previous experience in training in an engineering environment is preferred.
