Description:
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a dynamic and driven Senior Legal Advisor to join our team!
In this role, your focus will be on Legal Advocacy, Disputes and Litigation in relation to health-related matters, providing legal advice on Clinical Governance matters and in relation to operations and clinical care matters for the Bupa Villages & Aged Care business in Australia. This is a permanent full-time role based in Melbourne with hybrid working arrangements.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, oversee and provide legal advice and legal work across the APAC business, as the expert on health law, on the application of laws and regulation on relevant health services, aged care, retirement villages, hospital, medical and clinical governance matters
- Provision of regulatory and industry specific legal advice to the Bupa Villages and Aged Care business.
- Manage, oversee and undertake legal work across the APAC market unit for litigation and disputes
- Provide legal advice in respect of industry specific contracting arrangements for care services
- Provide support to the Legal Director to maintain formal relationships between Bupa APAC and their various legal advisors, auditors, regulators and risk authorities that relates all the areas of responsibility
- Explore and implement legal process optimisation initiatives
- Advice to senior management and legal education across APAC
- Develop relationships and collaborate within Bupa APAC, Bupa Global legal team and various business stakeholder
