Legal plays an important role in protecting the Group’s reputation by helping to future-proof the organisation through robust legal risk and issue advisory. Responsible for providing comprehensive legal advice to senior management and all businesses and functions, the team offers a diverse range of legal skills, jurisdictional experience and practice specialisms across all countries and territories in which our businesses operate.

You will be responsible for supporting the Managing Associate General Counsel – Corporate & Structuring in providing, directing and managing legal support in respect of Group structuring initiatives and supporting on corporate/company law issues more generally.

In this role your work will include:

  • Advising on restructurings overseen by the Strategy & Planning function, Lines of Business and Regions
  • Supporting Group reorganisations in response to legislative/regulatory change
  • Advising on restructurings to support Recovery & Resolution requirements.
  • Supporting Finance/Tax driven reorganisations
  • Providing advice on restructuring initiatives relating to the Global Servco Group
  • Supporting Group M&A on pre/post-transaction legal structure optimisation projects
  • A source of central support on corporate/company law questions across all Businesses and Functions

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Qualified Lawyer
  • Experience working on multi-jurisdictional corporate transactions, ideally in the financial services context
  • Experience providing general corporate/company law advice
  • A demonstrable track record of establishing strong relationships and effectively communicating across a wide range of Businesses and Functions.

The role is based in 8 Canada Square, London, E14 5HQ and is hybrid 2/3 times onsite.
