Looking for a multiregional role in which you have a direct impact on the business success?
Our Associate General Counsel Europe & International Operations is looking for a new team member to be primarily responsible for the first level of legal support for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Italy.
Location: This position can be based out home or from a Quadient office in a EU country.
Some travel within Europe may be required.
Your role in our future
- You will be managing regional corporate governance (with the help of external counsel), and disputes/litigations
- You can expect to be drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements for the different business lines (including both software and hardware offerings) and business models (e.g. License, SaaS, Leasing One-time sales etc.), including complex, high-value software license agreements, services agreements, reseller and partnership agreements, subcontracting agreements, non-disclosure agreements with large customers who operate in various sectors.
- You’ll provide general commercial legal support to the Sales team and day to day operational support for the business as a trusted legal advisor, including HR, Finance or other departments.
- You will also deliver legal monitoring and internal trainings towards commercial and operational teams and you will contribute to implementing and developing company policies and procedures at a regional level, and advising internal clients on a broad array of issues and risks to ensure compliance with company policies and the applicable law.
- In addition, you will participate and support global projects, collaborating with broader legal team in other regions, and you’ll complete timely management reporting on deals, budget and litigation activities;
Your profile
- You are qualified (preferably in Germany) & a practicing lawyer; dual qualification from another jurisdiction is a plus.
- You possess 7-10 years working experience in an internationally operating IT company as in-house counselExcellent knowledge of commercial contracts along with astute negotiation skills (ability to present, handle objections and negotiate contracts with a “win win” approach).
- You can deomnstrate proven experience of dealing with multi-jurisdictional matters, along with your knowledge of corporate matters and intellectual property law and you possess excellent drafting and negotiating skills.
- You have a flexible approach, with an ability to seek and find solutions with analytic, synthetic and pragmatic approach;
- You’re a team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills with a positive attitude allowing you to interact effectively with many people of varying levels of responsibility, background and culture.
- You can demonstrate fluency in speaking & writing: German (native is preferred) and English (Ability to speak Italian is a big plus)
