Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS:
- UK or US qualified lawyer with over 5 years of PQE.
- Experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
- Knowledge of EU/UK privacy compliance frameworks.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and sound judgment.
- A flexible, pragmatic, and proactive approach with the ability to work independently.
- Experience with legal technology and data management is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence senior team members.
Responsibilities:
- Provide commercial legal support across the LGC Group, with a focus on customer and supplier agreements for the Standards Business Unit.
- Act as the legal business partner for the Standards Business Unit, offering strategic advice on legal, risk, and compliance matters.
- Lead on privacy compliance within LGC, developing policies and frameworks, and providing guidance on data privacy issues.
- Collaborate with the General Counsel on transformation projects, including enhancing our legal technology and supporting corporate transactions.
- Improve continuous improvement within the Legal & Risk team by implementing standard methodologies and applying technology to streamline processes.
