JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will provide expert legal guidance, manage complex legal matters, and ensure our business operations adhere to all applicable laws and regulations. As a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of contract law and regulatory compliance, you will play a key role in safeguarding Premier’s interests while driving business growth.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Admitted Attorney with a minimum of 5+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in an in-house counsel role.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Extensive knowledge of contract law, with a proven track record in drafting and reviewing agreements.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic legal advice on a wide range of issues, including commercial contracts, property, and employment law.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with suppliers, distributors, and other stakeholders to secure favorable terms and mitigate risks.
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, particularly in areas such as food safety, consumer protection, and environmental standards.
- Manage and resolve disputes and litigation, representing the company in negotiations, arbitrations, and court proceedings when necessary.
- Collaborate closely with the HR department on employment law matters, including dispute resolution.
- Develop and implement internal legal policies and procedures to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and mentor a team of legal professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance working environment.
