JOB DESCRIPTION

We have a great opportunity for a Senior Legal Counsel who will provide expert legal advice and support on a wide range of commercial transactions, predominantly for our Supply Chain business. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage complex legal issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent; admission to practice law in Australia.
  • Current Australian Practising Certificate.
  • Minimum of 8 years of post-qualification experience in commercial/corporate law, preferably within the energy or industrial sector.
  • Proven experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements, with a particular focus on infrastructure/supply chain related contracts.
  • Expertise in competition/consumer law.
  • Experience in construction law.
  • Experience in mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures and major projects.
  • Experience with advising on complex regulatory matters and frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently by self-managing workloads and projects, and also be team focused
