Description:
HE ANGITŪTANGA: THE OPPORTUNITY
An exciting opening is now available in the Kaipātiki Local Board area for a Senior Librarian Children & Youth (Band F), currently based at Glenfield Library.
This role is vital for connecting children, youth, and whānau with library services and programmes. You will be responsible for developing and delivering programmes and events for tamariki and rangatahi that are innovative, responsive, and engaging. This senior librarian role has additional leadership responsibilities in supporting the team. Glenfield Library is one of three community libraries in the Kaipātiki Local Board area, all open 7 days a week so flexibility around working days and location is required. This is a permanent position working 40 hours a week and is currently rostered to work one day every weekend.
HE KŌRERO MŌU: ABOUT YOU
We are seeking an experienced librarian with LIANZA professional registration.
You will bring a sound knowledge of library technologies and processes, enthusiasm, and an ability to collaborate in the development, implementation and delivery of library services and programmes. As this is a role that involves working with children, youth and their families, you will have excellent communication, the natural ability to relate well to people of all ages and backgrounds, and strong digital and readers advisory skills. You will also have a determined approach to lifelong learning and a desire to have fun at work!
