We are seeking to recruit a Senior Licensing Officer to work within the busy Private Hire and Hackney Carriage Vehicle Inspections team. The Senior Officer will require a good knowledge of vehicle inspection processes and procedures as you will be required to assist Licensing Officers in their day to day duties and responsibilities. You will be expected to provide support and guidance to the team of Officers. The Senior Officer will be onsite at Licensing Services currently based at Chapel Street Bilston and will be working an afternoon shift proposed to be 1:15pm - 9:15pm.
This is an excellent development opportunity working in Licensing Services’ Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Licensing Function.
We are seeking candidates with significant Licensing experience (private hire/hackney carriage) who are looking to progress their career in Licensing.
You will be required to provide techncial guidance on regulations and statutory obligations regarding the Licensing function and assist with training new members of staff.
Although there are no direct Line Management responsibilities there is a requirement to “oversee” the inspection process and provide advice and assistance to Licensing Officers.
We are seeking a flexible and committed individual with an ability to manage high and competing workload, who has good communication and customer service skills. Competent with information technology systems is essential as is an eye for detail and accuracy.
This is a Fixed Role based at Licensing Services, Chapel Street, Bilston during the hours of 1:15pm - 9:15pm
