We are currently looking for a highly motivated, analytical and outgoing professional to assume the position of LAH Senior Underwriter for the management center located in Brussels, Belgium. This position requires strong analytical, organizational and prioritization skills.
What You`ll Do
- Client Relationship Management approach: collaborative, analytical & operational, business developer and facilitator of Life reinsurance business
- Analysis of markets, clients and business segments.
- Participates and proposes the strategic approach in markets, cedents and brokers
- Participates in establishing, the marketing strategy in the region, together with the Europe Regional Management and the Life Underwriting Management
- Accompanies the local managers or the LUM on visits, trips and events
- Defines the technical parameters for pricing in coordination with the Life Underwriting Management-Pricing Team
- Supports the analysis of submissions and the quoting of offers
- Transfers know-how to the Life Unit & Managements Centers.
- Technical studies and product development capabilities.
Who We´re Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science.
- Ideally 8 years’ experience (re)insurance with sound knowledge of insurance products
- Languages: English, Dutch, French. Spanish will be a plus
- Strong insurance risk assessment and reinsurance pricing skills
- Excellent organization and communication skills (both written and verbal) as well as an ability to work cross-functionally
- Excellent technical and analytical skills, logical and concise in approach and demonstrate attention to detail
- Self-motivated and able to work within a team environment, outcome focused
- Availability to travel.
