REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 12-15 years’ experience in litigation and investigations, ideally within the technology or financial services sectors.
  • Significant international experience (APAC, EMEA) is advantageous.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record in spearheading extensive legal operations and managing high-stakes litigation.
  • Possess excellent mastery of the English language, both in written and spoken form.
  • Proficiency in other European languages will be considered an asset.
  • Manifest the ability to excel in a high-intensity, dynamic environment, demonstrating flexibility in managing multiple high-priority tasks concurrently.
  • Experience in dealing effectively with regulatory inquiries, processing information requests, and leading investigations is a significant advantage.
  • Display a keen interest in the cryptocurrency industry and its evolving landscape.
  • Exhibit solid legal technical expertise coupled with astute business acumen and people management skills.
  • Demonstrate a hands-on approach to work, showcasing independence in steering complex project management.
  • Have the ability to ideate and implement innovative solutions to manage risks and navigate disputes.
  • Possess excellent legal drafting abilities and strong skills in interpreting diverse legal documents and laws.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the orchestration and resolution of ongoing disputes.
  • Develop and execute a legal strategy to proactively respond to contentious inquiries, including litigation issues and regulatory conundrums, faced by our organization and internal stakeholders.
  • Act as the key liaison with external legal counsel, confidently navigating negotiations with opposing parties.
  • Deliver proactive, strategic, and commercially viable legal guidance to all internal stakeholders, fostering a comprehensive understanding of complex legal landscapes.
  • Head the development and execution of a holistic legal strategy to manage potential disputes, while seamlessly aligning with the broader business objectives of the organization.
  • Take full ownership of the drafting and review process for major litigation and arbitration documents, including discovery responses, dispositive motions, expert reports, and settlement agreements.
  • Collaboratively engage with cross-functional and regional teams, providing expert advice on diverse legal matters of varying complexity, sensitivity, and importance.
  • Act as a mentor to foster the growth of legal acumen across the organization through training sessions designed for business partners and non-legal associates.
  • Prudently identify, manage, and mitigate risks within the broader business framework, advising on and implementing innovative solutions to address identified challenges.
  • Oversee the administrative aspects of the legal team’s operations, including but not limited to billing, contract management, and document control.
