SENIOR LOGISTICS ANALYST

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the evaluation and analysis of Textron’s logistics network and the strategic sourcing of logistics providers to include 3PL services, transportation, warehousing and cross-docking for the Textron enterprise and its business units (including but not limited to support for Textron Aviation, Bell Helicopter, Textron Specialized Vehicles, Kautex, Lycoming, Textron Financial, Textron Systems and TRU Simulation Training).

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics/Transportation, or related field.
  • Internship or work experience in Supply Chain or Logistics/Transportation is preferred.
  • Level will be determined based on relevant experience.

QUALIFICATONS:

  • Strong analytical, negotiating, problems solving, and financial analysis skills are preferred.
  • Must have proficient computer skills utilizing software applications such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access including the ability to create complex queries and reports utilizing Access and Excel.
  • Strong communication skills – oral, written and presentation skills are required
  • 10-20% travel is required (1st year will require up to 30% travel)

Responsibilities:

I. Supports and conducts strategic sourcing projects (RFI’s, RFQ’s, RFP’s) and collaborates with internal customers on requirements and selection criteria. Leads supplier contract negotiations. Develops and implements negotiations strategies that have financial impacts throughout Textron.
II. Lead the development of contracts, statement of works and standard operating procedures. Requires understanding of operations as well as providers’ needs and expectations. Maintain and support existing contracts with renegotiations, amendments, SOW changes and extensions.
III. Develops and maintains strong working relationships with a broad spectrum of internal customers.
IV. Monitors respective markets and provides market insight to business teams. Understands and implements pricing strategies to capitalize on and protect against business and market volatility.
V. Support and implement Textron enterprise wide logistics initiatives and strategies.
VI. Analyze transportation network scenarios and make recommendations for improvements.
VII. Design, analyze and assist in the implementation of international supply chain solutions.
VIII. Implement and maintain enterprise warehouse sourcing strategy and provider partnership development.
IX. Support Business Unit logistics personnel on special projects and initiatives.
X. Monitor Textron and logistics provider performance based upon developed and defined KPI’s.
XI. Analyze and report provider performance trends and potential issues.
XII. Support and maintain invoice bill audit and payment processes, guidelines & procedures.
