Description:

BBE is actively seeking a full-time Senior Logistics Manager for our YEG location. This role is responsible for ensuring BBE’s supply chain activities run safely, effectively, and that BBE is well positioned for growth. Reporting to the Director of Logistics, this role will work with the Logistics Manager to create and evaluate business procedures ranging from operational plans to overseeing the YEG facility and maintenance contracts specific to YEG operations.
As the Senior Logistics Manager you will set the example for your team in everything you do. You have the tenacity to jump in a get the job done all while providing exceptional customer service. As partners and stakeholders affectionately reflect on BBE, a common saying is “ You need to be firing on all cylinders at BBE.”

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong collaborative team leadership experience is required.
  • Logistics and inventory experience.
  • Shipping, receiving, or warehousing experience is an asset.
  • Equipment experience (forklift, counterbalance forklift, reach truck).
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Passion for customer service.
  • A technical school degree or other relevant designation is an asset.
  • SCMP or similar certification is an asset.

Responsibilities:

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and organizational structure for the operational team, setting conditions for advancement and expanded opportunities for staff.
  • Manage and follow disciplinary processes with team members as required.
  • Ensure the warehouse team, under the supervision of the Logistics Manager, meets customer requirements per client contracts.
  • Understand and provide guidance on YEG cargo operations critical points.
  • Oversee, inspect, and provide guidance for cargo storage from contamination, damage, loss and theft.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Distribution Practices and BBE’s CEIV Pharma Standards.
  • Work with the Logistics Manager to implement and maintain health and safety procedures as outlined by BBE’s Quality, Health and Safety programs for your respective operations.
  • Management of warehouse infrastructure, equipment, vehicles, and tools, ensuring facilities and equipment are maintained at optimal levels including cleanliness, operational maintenance, and repair.
  • Work with the Logistics Manager to enforce and manage all quality, health, and safety programs for the warehouse and logistics teams.
  • Train the Trainer for reach truck, forklift, and counterbalance forklift.

CORPORATE COMPLIANCE DUTIES

  • Actively participate in QHSETY programs and systems.
  • Contribute to and foster clear and direct communications, education, and enhancement of customer service with operations teams and clients.
  • Contribute to BBE’s continuous improvement and organizational efficiency goals.
