Description:
Key Accountabilities
- Provide internal support to the Logistics Head for the execution of strategic, tactical, and operational strategies.
- Liaison with APAC Freight Control Tower to ensure on-time arrival of inbound shipments and responsible for day-to-day operations with freight forwarders to address any queries as needed.
- Manage regulatory compliance for import/export licenses, permits and proper declaration of controlled substances with relevant government authorities.
- Oversee warehouse storage and distribution operations to drive for operations excellence; investigate and address any system EDI failure.
- Responsible for prompt investigation and closure of Goods Inbound Discrepancy Report (GIDR) with internal stakeholders and freight forwarders
- Maintain and seek corrective actions on key Distribution / Warehousing service metrics failure and drive to deliver continuous improvements and productivity gains.
- Partner with planning, supply chain and freight forwarders for outbound execution to country hubs
- Prepare and manage monthly logistics spend versus budget.
- Responsible for monthly freight/operations invoice validation and timely submission to AP
- Help execute regional logistics strategy in alignment with global logistics strategy to support business growth.
- Establish and document process and procedures.
- Support and enable standardization of transportation processes across the region.
- Support key projects that improve tools, process, productivity & compliance.
Prerequisities
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain or Engineering
- 6-10 years of experience in Supply Chain or Logistics
- Sufficient knowledge and experience in transportation, import and export regulations and requirements for Asia-Pacific countries.
- Proven ability to meet deadline in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- A can-to attitude and continuous pursuit to deliver operations excellence.
- Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritize workload with attention to detail.
- Willingness to work in a matrix environment and to value the importance of teamwork.
