Description:

Job title: Senior Modern Workplace Engineer and Team Lead
Location: Role can be based from either of our Manchester or Leeds locations (Hybrid working available)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Up to £60k DOE + benefits

PERSON, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Hands-on working experience as a technical team lead
  • Strong background in designing and implementing hybrid solutions using Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, and Azure, with a focus on enhancing collaboration in modern workplace environments.
  • Proficient in cloud and on-premises integration, with a deep understanding of network and infrastructure concepts relevant to hybrid setups.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft security frameworks and compliance standards, including Azure Security Centre, Microsoft Defender, and identity management with Entra ID.
  • Hands-on experience in Microsoft Purview, InTune and Defender
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of presenting complex technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Confident and professional communicator, able to lead customer workshops, training sessions, and collaborative meetings with stakeholders.
  • Strong documentation skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise project scopes, proposals, and technical reports.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of efficiently identifying and resolving technical issues.
  • Relevant experience in a similar role, ideally within a managed service provider (MSP) or IT service environment.
  • A passion for leveraging technology to address business challenges and drive value for clients.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and adaptability.
  • An analytical and pragmatic approach to problem-solving, with a focus on delivering practical solutions.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and a commitment to a customer-centric mindset.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Modern Workplace Engineer within our Hybrid and Cloud Team, you will be instrumental in leveraging Microsoft technologies to bridge the gap between on-premises and cloud environments, ensuring a cohesive and efficient modern workplace experience for our clients.
Your primary focus will be on designing, implementing, and supporting hybrid solutions using Microsoft 365 and related tools that empower clients to collaborate seamlessly, whether their teams are working remotely or in the office. Your role will also involve team lead duties within the area.
