ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at AltaML’s AI Venture Studio, you will play a pivotal role in building and scaling high-impact AI focused early stage venture ideas. Your work will bridge innovation and execution, where you will rapidly prototype end-to-end machine learning solutions, collaborate closely with product managers and founders to shape venture roadmaps, and apply technical due diligence to evaluate venture ideas. This position is ideal for an engineer with a strong foundation in classical machine learning techniques, coupled with experience in transformer-based models across multiple data modalities. You will thrive in AltaML’s fast-paced environment, iterating quickly and shipping valuable AI-driven features.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Rapid Prototyping and Development: Build end-to-end AI/ML solutions from ideation to production, focusing on developing solutions that meet business objectives.
• Product Roadmap Collaboration: Partner with product managers and stakeholders to define and refine venture roadmaps, ensuring alignment between technical capabilities and business goals.
• Technical Due Diligence: Assess and evaluate the feasibility and potential impact of venture ideas from a technical standpoint, helping identify key risks and opportunities.
• Hands-On Leadership: Working along with the lead engineer to help with system design decisions. Review PRs and contribute to the codebase. .
• Continuous Iteration and Feature Shipping: Implement and iterate on features quickly, responding to the dynamic needs of ventures in AltaML’s high-speed innovation environment.
• Process and Quality Improvement: Contribute to enhancing internal processes, tooling, and development standards in the Venture Studio.
