TEAM SUMMARY

The Data Engineering team is responsible for designing, building and managing the processes by which data comes into and flows through the organisation based on Cloud and API first principles through the use of the Microsoft Azure platform.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to translate prototypes into new products, services, and features.
  • Develop machine learning models and algorithms, managing the full lifecycle of model development, from design to deployment, management and iteration.
  • Optimisation: Continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, and drive the automation of these processes. Identify optimisation opportunities and enhancements in workflows.
  • Problem-Solving: Effectively contribute to the delivery of complex, multi-stakeholder projects that span functions.
  • Creating, maintaining, and improving GitHub repositories for smooth and effective team collaboration.
  • Collaborate with our data scientists and engineers to develop, implement, and maintain robust machine learning systems.
  • Use the agreed specifications to design, code, test and document programs or scripts of medium-to-high complexity, using the right standards and tools. Examples including;
  • AWS & Azure
  • Python & SQL
  • Terraform (and other modern programming languages)
  • Review the system designs of others to ensure the selection of appropriate technology, efficient use of resources and integration of multiple systems and technology
