Adamson Systems Engineering is a vertically integrated manufacturer with a broad range of production technologies, located in Port Perry Ontario. We use a range of CNC machinery – Twin pallet VMCs – Twin-spindle Turning Centers with automatic part feed – CNC Laser/punch/form – Multi-spindle routers – 5-Axis mold making – as well as a group of manual mold-making machine tools.
By producing this broad range of parts, we are able to manufacture a full range of electronics and large scale loudspeaker systems used in live performance. This takes place entirely within our facility.
The Senior Machinist is responsible for ensuring the efficiency of all machine tool operations. Machined parts produced for secondary production must meet defined standards and be delivered in a timely manner. Promoting a culture of consistency in parts production and a team environment are essential to the success of the person filling this role.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years of diverse experience as a machinist
- 5+ years of experience reading G-code and programming CNC machines
- Manual machining experience
- Lathe experience is required
- Router experience is an asset (performs like a 3-axis VMC)
- Full knowledge of Fanuc and Mitsubishi controls

Responsibilities:
- Set-up and supervision of various CNC and manual machine tools such as CNC lathes, VMCs, mills, CNC routers and other tools
- Improve machine up-time
- Devise and produce fixtures, tooling plates and jigs to optimize machining time and throughput
- Experience using MasterCAM, InventorCAM or other CAM programs
- Effectively use measurement tools such as calipers, height gauges etc.
- Provide mentoring and leadership to machine operators in the shop
