Description:

Are you passionate about implementation planning and application development? Do you have a knack for quality assurance? The role requires a mix of remote (within Switzerland) and on-site work in a hybrid model.
As a Mainframe Software Developer, you will play a crucial role in transforming business requirements into valuable end-to-end IT services. You’ll work in an agile application software environment, developing, testing, designing, managing and supporting high-quality systems. Additionally, you’ll provide 3rd level support to ensure smooth operations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience as a Mainframe Developer
  • Proficiency in IBM Mainframe technologies (Z/OS, PL/1, IMS, DB2, Webservices, SQL)
  • Familiarity with MQ, Control M, JIRA, GitLab and SNOW
  • Strong analytical and coding skills
  • Ability to write technical specifications, design solutions and perform impact analysis
  • Result-oriented team player with excellent communication skills
  • Fluent English skills are a must, German language skills are significant advantage

Responsibilities:

  • Design, code, test and debug mainframe applications
  • Conduct code reviews and perform various forms of testing, including unit, system, regression, integration, performance and volume testing
  • Develop detailed plans and accurate estimates for the design, build, implementation and stabilization phases of projects
  • Plan for database and disaster recovery across multiple systems
