Due to internal movement, we are seeking an experienced Senior Management Accountant to join the Saunders International team. The role will be based at our Sydney HQ in Rhodes with occasional visits to other Saunders offices and project sites.
The Senior Management Accountant position plays a critical role in supporting management and project leaders in financial decision-making, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing strategic guidance for Saunders financial well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Provide financial data and commercial interpretation to profit centre owners
- Assist with the collection of financial and accounting information and the preparation of budgets, reports, forecasts and consolidated profit and loss reports
- Preparation of monthly management accounts to agreed timetables, including balance sheet reconciliations and budget variance commentary
- Assist with half-year and year-end financial reporting requirements, including, interaction with external auditors
- Ensure compliance with Group policy and statutory requirements
- Together with Corporate Accountants, maintain and manage the Capex process within Bus
Finance Systems:
- Work closely with the CFO, GMs and PMs to ensure Jobpac is administered and maintained well across the projects, divisions and overall Saunders Group
- Provide innovative solutions to drive continuous improvement in the financial systems and processes
