Role
The Senior Manager, Alternatives Investor Services will manage the delivery of investor services to the Alternatives investor base. This includes the full range of Investor servicing functions such as dealing, registration, settlements, distributions, commissions, and statements. The successful candidate will also be responsible for creating a functionalised investor servicing team supporting both HFS and Private Equity clients and will be a member of the Alternatives senior management team.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Responsible for delivery of all investor services including dealing, registration, settlements, distributions, commissions, and statements;
  • Ensuring that all departmental and client SLAs are met;
  • Work effectively with other internal departments such as Fund Accounting and AML, who support the investor servicing team in their service delivery;
  • Maintain oversight where activities are outsourced to other locations or teams;
  • Manage partner performance and create a culture of high performance within the team;

CRUCIAL Skills / Experience

  • Several years experience in an investor servicing management role;
  • Interpersonal (relationship building, respectful, problem solving and understanding);
  • Strong Customer focus;
  • Leadership (direction, idea generation, knowledge sharing and team recognition);
  • Communication (listening skills, oral communication skills, information sharing and written communication skills);
  • Ability to work on own initiative and to set deadlines;

  • Client Service and Quality (quality, relationship building and client satisfaction);
  • Self-management (adaptability, integrity, learning and trust builder);
  • Thinking (decision making, idea generation, inclusion and problem solving);

  • Analytical skills are required to research and resolve enquiries and prepare management information for Management and clients;
  • Motivated to constantly look for improvement opportunities (closure and result seeking).

DESIRED Skills / Experience

  • Knowledge of workflow management
  • Knowledge of Fund administration, financial services, and related regulatory environment desirable;
