The Appian Architect – Manager / Senior Manager will be a key member of our Melbourne / Sydney based Technology & Transformation team and the broader Australian Appian Practice.
This role will lead solution design and architecture for Appian based solutions across various industries. As an Appian Architect, your primary responsibility will be to design scalable Appian solutions and to enable and empower delivery teams.
The ideal candidate will combine expertise in Appian with excellent technical, product and business skills to make a real impact for our customers. You will assist organisations with design and implementation of Appian applications. You will also have a sound understanding of security, service-based modular architectures, Cloud technologies, version control, configuration management and other DevOps practices.
Responsibilities:
Leading the design and development of Appian solutions based on client requirements.
Developing technology architecture of Appian deployment across a client’s existing legacy infrastructure.
Collaborating with clients to understand their business processes and design solutions that improve efficiency and productivity.
Leading pre-sales, scoping, and client presentations.
Providing technical guidance and support to Appian developers and team members.
Conducting regular code reviews to ensure best practices are being followed and maintain high-quality standards.
Staying up-to-date on the latest Appian features and enhancements to leverage them in client projects.
Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues that arise during the development and implementation of Appian solutions.
Designing data models and identifying performance issues and improvements to existing designs (e.g., tables, stored procedures).
Drafting high-level commercial propositions for Appian implementations across various industries.

We are seeking professionals who can demonstrate required Appian expertise matched with the following:
10+ years of client-facing experience working as a Technical Architect, with at least 5+ years as an Appian Architect.
Experience with configuration, development, deployment, and testing of enterprise software applications with Agile delivery methodologies.
Knowledge of Appian integrations with key technologies (for example, Salesforce, Oracle, SAP, Dynamics365 and also custom integrations via API’s and including cloud-enablement (for example, Azure).
Working experience with software consulting (such as in an ERP, CRM, BPM/Workflow, Data Integration Architecture or EAI) and/or applied knowledge of enterprise architecture, including data management.
Strong database knowledge to design data models and also identify performance issues with the existing design (e.g., tables, stored procedures, etc.).
A deep knowledge of Appian components including Process designing, SAIL, Rules, Security, and Integration.
Passionate about enterprise process automation technologies, excited by tough challenges, and be a natural problem solver.
Ability to design and review complex, secure and scalable solutions with enterprise software and remove technical impediments.
Composure in client-facing situations and have had previous success presenting complex technical concepts & designs to a variety of audiences.
Ability to lead multiple engagements concurrently.
Strong interpersonal and soft skills.
