Responsible for all financial functions for GoNetZero covering accounting, budgetary control, capital expenditure & cash management, treasury & tax management, risk management, insurance to meet operating & strategic business targets. Support M&A activities by leading finance and tax scope of work required including due diligence, post-acquisition integration.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor’s degree in the following will be expected for this role: Accounting, Finance or Economics
  • Have led/participated in M&A activities
  • An MBA or CPA is an added advantage
  • At least 8 years’ experience in the finance industry with proven leadership and management experience
  • A Big 4 experience in Transactions/Advisory would be preferred
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the executive presence to work with Senior Management, investors and external stakeholders.
  • Must be able to engage with staff at all levels of the organization and exercise sound judgement

Responsibilities:

  • Providing strategic recommendations to the members of the management team
  • Participate in key decisions as a member of the management team
  • Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the management team
  • Investments/M&A
  • Responsible for financial and tax due diligence and executing deal negotiations in green/brown-field projects
  • Drive post investment integration in terms of the finance/governance systems and processes
  • Drive financing solutions for funding for new investments
  • Performance Tracking & Monitoring
  • Develop performance measures and monitoring systems that support the company’s strategic direction
  • Monitor the financial performance against budget and implement action plans to control costs
  • Lead annual and short-term planning and budgeting exercises
  • Track and monitor achievement of corporate strategies and KPIs, ensuring effective and prudent use of budgets
  • Pro-actively communicate results with recommendation for action.
  • Perform revenue, costing, pricing, profitability, productivity, overheads, variance analysis
  • Treasury and Cash Management
  • Monitor cash flow forecast to ensure that adequate funds are available to meet the working capital
  • Establish and maintain good banking relationship with banks and negotiating optimal financing terms
  • Actively monitoring and ensuring optimal capital structure for the Markets responsible
  • Internal Controls
  • Evaluate the adequacy of internal control system and procedures for the Markets responsible
  • Implement policies and procedures to manage risk and upkeep appropriate corporate governance standards including regular monitoring and reviewing
  • Manage the accounts in accordance to SFRS and local country statutory reporting requirements, including month-end and year-end closing.
  • Co-ordinate and liaise with internal and external auditors for quarterly and yearly compliance review.
  • Responsible for tax compliances of the Markets responsible
  • Willing to travel and is able to be posted for short assignments (2 weeks to 3 months) on request
