Description:

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Expert knowledge in process/system, able to develop global policy/guideline balancing governance/control vs. flexibility/agility, external vs. internal requirements, depth vs. simplicity and global vs. local requirements.
  • Holistic knowledge of entire finance cycle from accounting to controllership to business performance mgmt. Be able to drive a comprehensive solution that fits the requirements of all finance domain.
  • Strong project leadership at the global scale, able to deliver success and drive results for projects that generates sizable global impacts.
  • University degree in Finance/Accounting
  • Ability to work in a diverse, multicultural and hybrid environment
  • Good Knowledge of IFRS
  • Proven track record in transaction service processes and best practice is required
  • Strong communication and analytical thinking
  • Former SAP FICO consultant can be advantageous
  • 9+ years in management position, experience in managing a global team will be an added plus.
  • Broad experience in finance, account and reporting processes and systems
  • Conceptual thinking / Design thinking ability, with strive for simplification of complex issues
  • Strong change management skills and ability to drive performance and delivery oriented organizational climate/culture

Responsibilities:

Chart of Accounts and global consolidation CoE: Custodian of SABIC’s global Chart of Account, as the skeleton of the finance information landscape and one of the major means of governance as well as the prerequisite for a reliable record-to-report process - that is in accordance with the IFRS requirements (as set out by the technical accounting team) and fit for purpose of SABIC statutory and managerial reporting needs. Roll out the chart of accounts and standardized chart of accounts to all the legal entities and affiliates across the different regions and ensure full consistencies at consolidated level.
Ensuring IFRS-compliant and auditable consolidation processes, mitigating risks of misstatements from wrong consolidation and intercompany elimination.

The Key responsibilities for the Chart of Accounts and global consolidation CoE snr manager is:

  • Lead to design SABIC’s global CoA in accordance with the SABIC accounting standard and policy, management reporting needs; reflect the needed visibility for business decision, and; enable the control required for data quality.
  • Defining reliable automated account determination across all non-finance functions globally, thereby reducing cost and increasing reliability.
  • Designing automated value flows, e.g. by defining and maintaining Field Status Groups.
  • Defining and enforcing a manageable universal ledger in SAP across all legal entities world-wide.
  • Establishing connectivity into SABIC consolidation and into Aramco Reporting.
  • Establish and implement governance to maintain and enhance the Chart of Account
  • Ensure and improve the connection among the SGAAP( Sabic Accounting Principle), SAM ( Sabic Accounting Manual) and the Chart of Account in SABIC IT systems to avoid discrepancies and safeguard compliance at both consolidated and statutory level
  • Enabler to ensure a smoother transition to S4/Hana in the future by governing end-to-end the SABIC global value flows
  • Lead the global consolidation CoE team to deliver a fully automated consolidation tool that fits into the SABIC legal/statutory/tax consolidation needs and are up-to-date based on the changing business environment (eg. divestment/investment, restructuring etc).
  • Collaborate with upstream teams to constantly identify and resolve the upstream issues (process, system) related to consolidation and CoA.
  • Participate in projects impacting the CoA / reporting in SABIC and provide guidance / secure CoA and reporting governance.
  • Trigger enhancements and improvements in the global consolidation and reporting process
