How you will make an impact
As a Commercial Finance Senior Manager you will lead a successful team and play a pivotal role within our European, Global Commercial Operations (GCO) organization. Your responsibilities include providing financial oversight, strategic guidance and fostering very strong business partnerships. You will be a motivator to achieving revenue and strategic objectives while ensuring full alignment with business units and division expectations. Your analytical skills and leadership will help advancing our mission of delivering innovative solutions in the diagnostics industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a direct business partner to the GCO Europe team by providing financial insights, strategic decision support, and assistance in developing and completing plans. Be a key member of the Europe Leadership team
- Establish, improve, and maintain performance measurements to aid in business evaluation, predictive/forward-thinking analytical reporting, and target achievement. Ensure accurate data compilation, timely reporting and analysis. Special focus on customer and SFDC analysis and PBI reporting.
- Drive the development of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and monthly Forecasting process for GCO Europe. Continuously improve financial processes, using data and statistical analysis.
- Enhance Annual price impact by running the Annual Price Roll process in all segments and Business Units.
- Provide actionable insights to drive customer strategy and growth through financial analysis and entitlement assessment. Collaborate with our key Business Unit & Divisional partners to ensure alignment.
- Analyze and report on Funnel, programs, customer and GCO activity (revenue, profitability, pricing, savings/value delivered) on various cadences.
- Develop and deliver customer Key Performance Indicators measuring Thermo Fisher’s value creation.
- Champion process improvement (PPI), actively driving productivity and continuous improvement culture. Oversee the monthly Opex and headcount reporting, analysis and forecasting
- Recruit, retain, and develop an impactful team. Team management of 3 analysts
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or Economics; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years finance experience with previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Previous experience in Commercial Finance preferred.
- Previous experience leading an International team
- Sophisticated analytical skills, including proficiency in financial modeling with tools such as MS Excel and Hyperion Financial Management & Planning.
- Effective communication with all levels of the organization.
- Strong ability to work in a matrixed environment, collaborate cross-functionally, and establish relationships at all interpersonal levels.
- Continuous improvement demeanour with a successful track record of process optimization.
- Ability to balance multiple projects effectively.
- High level of integrity and ethics, strong business insight, and well-developed analytical skills.
