Description:
Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a Senior Manager - Commercial to lead the commercial activities for our innovative projects. In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping our commercial strategy and ensuring the successful execution of our developmental objectives. REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 9 -12 years of relative experience in commercial management, preferably within the real estate, construction, Infrastructure or entertainment sectors.
- Strong understanding of contract law, commercial practices, and financial principles
- Proven track record of developing successful commercial strategies that drive profitability
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and inspire a team, building a collaborative work environment
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
- Proficient in relevant software applications and tools
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive commercial strategies tailored to specific projects, enhancing profitability and market impact
- Collaborate with project teams to assess financial implications and advise on commercial matters
- Conduct thorough market research and analysis to inform strategic decision-making
- Manage the negotiation and administration of contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Monitor project budgets and performance metrics, adjusting strategies as necessary to achieve financial targets
- Contract drafting and preparation, Monitoring contract obligations, Variations and claims management, Contract administration up to closure and final account agreement.
- Engage and negotiate with vendors, contractors, and stakeholders to secure favorable terms and enhance project outcomes
- Lead, mentor, and develop team, fostering a culture of professionalism and excellence
- Providing cost & contract advice to the wider team members, Selection of appropriate procurement strategy and procurement routes, Selection of appropriate pricing terms and risk allocation.
- Responsible of Procurement planning and liaison with scope owners, Managing the procurement process from NDA all the way to award.
- Responsible of Quantification & costing of construction works, Budgeting, Cost estimating and cost planning, Valuation of construction works and consultant deliverables, Project financial control and reporting, Value engineering, Provisional sums management, Accrual and liabilities management, Cashflow forecasting.
- Produce regular performance reports for senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activity, and market shifts to maintain Qiddiya’s competitive advantage
