Description:
FOCUS, SCOPE, & IMPACT:
- Work as part of a team responsible for strategic communications initiatives as well as public relations, political/stakeholder management and community engagement.
- Support the team’s public relations engagement with research, event management and communication including message and collateral development as necessary in coordination with the Strategic Communications team.
- Manage integrated team project plans to help team prepare, meet deadlines, keep team members informed and coordinate with other North American Public Affairs, Communications, and Sustainability teams, bottlers and industry associations.
- Serve as an agile resource within the team with the ability to be deployed on specific policy, communication and stakeholder engagement projects. Is comfortable and competent in interacting with external stakeholders and community organizations.
- Connect into front line marketing, brand PR and social impact teams.
- Demonstrate a passion for sustainability, policymaking and the political process. Committed to continuous learning and keeps current on sustainability at the municipal, provincial and federal levels.
- A detailed and results oriented self-starter who is performance-driven and has a thirst for collaboration.
EXPERIENCE
At least 5 years of relevant experience, ideally in communications, public relations, and government affairs, including legislation, policy development, and/or political and issue campaigns, as well as sustainability, stakeholder management and community engagement.
