POSITION SUMMARY

Support and execute comparator sourcing strategies in collaboration with the Clinical Supply Planning (CSPL) and Trial Supplies Management (TSM) group with vendors, Transcelerate members and direct to manufacturer collaboration requests and agreements. Assist with the coordination of supply agreements for collaboration and alliance arrangements where comparators are involved and work closely with vendors on comparator deliverables.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with CSPL and TSM groups, as well as with vendors both in the US and the EU on the requests and execution of comparator orders including follow up on deliveries and trouble shooting of issues.
  • Coordinate comparator demand into a supply plan across studies/protocols for efficient forecast and order planning/management including tracking of cost variables and RFIs with vendors and partner Comparator Network members for quick reporting and financial updating. This includes managing product specific details such as sourcing country, MA#s, vendor and pricing differences.
  • Assist with local sourcing strategies in the US, Latam and other countries as needed such as managing POs, working with CSPL and TSM to set up and monitor sourcing activity and budgets across the life of studies.
  • Track when drug has been received and ensure that invoices are correctly posted against appropriate purchase orders and with appropriate vendors and negotiated payment terms.
  • Assist with collaboration agreements as need working closely with BD and Legal in the US and the EU to ensure the needs of Clinical Supply Chain are met.
  • Coordinate and align demand forecasts for internal collaboration studies.
  • Participate in vendor management activities such as coordinating KPIs, ensuring agreements are up to date, daily interactions, troubleshooting issues that occur with SAP, new vendor set ups and overall maintenance of relationships.
  • Assist with projects related to integration assets such as value capture assessments, vendor analysis and other project specific tasks and initiatives.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate/graduate degree in business, science or closely related field, or directly related experience.
  • 5-7+ years clinical supply chain or related operational planning/leadership experience
  • Ability to professionally, effectively and respectfully represent BMS in dealings with external companies’ colleagues
  • Advanced organizational and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of drug development process, including drug supply requirements
  • Proficient with MS Office suite
  • Must have the ability to interact effectively with management and to influence colleagues without direct authority over the individual
