Description:

The Sr. Manager of Customer Insights is responsible for delivering fact-based customer insights that facilitate accurate, strategic and tactical decisions across The Home Depot. This person will develop the framework and processes to continuously enhance a centralized insights function. They will leverage their experience in data collection processes and tools to create useful and actionable recommendations.

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

Internal Candidates: Must fulfill minimum time-in-position (1 year) and performance management code requirements (M+, Meets Expectations and Consistently Demonstrates)
7+ years of work experience, with consulting experience and/or previous Customer Insights experience within the retail industry considered an asset
Expertise in a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods and techniques, analytics and data synthesis
Experience with advertising testing, concept/new product evaluations, usage & attitudes studies, and measuring brand health and satisfaction
Experience with research design & execution
Strong analytical skills with an ability to generate insights and derive strategic implications
Ability to communicate complex data and insights derived from research
Ability to juggle multiple projects effectively
Entrepreneurial, creative and resourceful
Strong relationship management skills, with an ability to influence cross-functional teams and leaders at all levels in the organizatio

Responsibilities:

Act as the voice of The Home Depot Customers within the organization
Partner with functional leaders to better understand Home Depot’s products, customer segments, competitors, and the broader industry to support the development of a long-term growth strategy
Leverage qualitative and quantitative tools that facilitate tracking, segmentation, category insights, customer acquisition, satisfaction and loyalty
Build strong relationships with external vendor partners to deliver best-in-class primary research
Communicate a strong and accurate understanding of the customer and the marketplace across The Home Depot
Collaborate with leaders across the business to drive thoughtful decision making including marketing, merchandising, stores & more
Accelerate innovation via strategic project support, concept development, and by conducting thoughtful primary research
