Job Description

We’re looking for you to join our Content Acquisitions Team, limited to 2 years.

Tasks

  • You’re responsible for PayTV and transactional contract negotiations, i.e. you negotiate content licence agreements for DACH with US film studios as well as national and international licensors
  • You’ll be involved in analyzing and negotiating extensive output and volume deals, film and series packages (fiction + factual) and individual titles
  • You’ll drive forward the renewals and amendments of existing contracts
  • You’ll manage internal processes related to financial approvals as well as the contract drafting and the final contract signature
  • You’ll be evaluating programme offers based on extensive KPIs
  • Good cooperation is important to us - you’ll ensure this with all major US studio partners and licensors, as well as with internal departments such as Content, Finance, Legal, Strategy, Commercial, etc.

Requirements

  • You’ve 5-6 years of proven experience in content acquisitions in an international media company
  • Your experience in negotiating complex licence agreements and a strong understanding of contract design and legal language is among your strengths as well as your attention to detail and your strong commercial mindset
  • Thanks to your know-how of the technology, it’s easy for you to understand the Pay-TV and Streaming market and their respective rights requirements
  • You’d describe yourself as a diplomatic team player with a “can-do” attitude and a high level of initiative
  • Working in an international environment and in intercultural teams comes naturally to you
  • You’re an expert (m/f/d) in Excel and Powerpoint - knowledge of other tools is a plus
  • Very good German and good English skills to communicate with international stakeholders round off your profile
