Job Description
We’re looking for you to join our Distribution Platforms Team

Tasks

• You’ re an expert (m/f/d) in the field of encoding/networking and take on tasks for the development, operation and support of the technical solutions for Contribution
• Together with a local team, you will work with international colleagues to further develop the platforms that form a core part of the architecture for origination and distribution in Sky
• Configuration, version and change management as well as the implementation of the roadmap are part of your area of responsibility
• Together with your team, you will ensure the operation of the platforms 365 days a year, 24/7 - on-call duty is required here
• You’ve expertise in technical standards, on the basis of which the architecture of the systems is built
• You’re very familiar with the topics of transcoding/encoding, software defined networks, SDI over IP (ST2110, 2022-6/7), virtualization & cloud
• You support your manager in advising internal departments and work independently on complex (sub-) projects and take over the coordination of (sub-) projects

Requirements

• You’ve successfully completed a university degree in the field of media technology, IT, engineering or a comparable professional qualification
• In addition, you have at least 5-6 years of experience in the media or telecommunications sector
• Expertise in current and new technologies such as contribution/distribution encoding, audio/video production, IP technology, networking, virtualization and cloud is desirable
• Initial experience in operations of large platforms in 24/7 operation is an advantage
• You’re characterized by your high motivation and your strong service orientation
• As we are an international Sky Group, you are open to occasional business trips
• Excellent presentation and communication skills set you apart from other applicants
• Good English skills are a matter of course for you
