Reporting directly to the Director Corporate Support, this senior management position will coordinate the delivery of Health Safety & Environmental Protection, Security and Information Assurance, Corporate Quality Assurance, Enterprise Risk & Business Continuity, and the Infrastructure & Facilities programs for Babcock Canada. Leveraging these enablers, this role will be key to effectively translating Business and regulatory requirements into a cohesive program across the Corporate Services, Marine, Aviation, Land, and Mission Support business units.
Provide safety leadership and promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship across all areas of the business as part of ensuring compliance with health safety and environmental regulations, policies and standards.
Ensure the application of Quality Assurance best practices are consistent across the business units, identify initiatives to maintain and improve related standards and support the delivery of a coordinated internal and external audit program, with timely dissemination of, and responses to, findings.
Support the consistent delivery of security and information assurance for projects, programs, and sites, to include security reviews and training programs.
Liaise with business units to ensure consistency across programs and contracts for the delivery of on-site infrastructure maintenance, support, and facilities services to include liaising with landlords of leased facilities.
Provide guidance and expertise to support strategic risk management and operational risk practice throughout the organization to align with organizational objectives, to include delivery of reports to the executive team and collaboration with risk leads across Babcock International Group.
Support the Director Corporate Support in their role as Product Safety Sponsor for Babcock Canada.
Develop, implement, and monitor continuous improvement plans and procedures to enhance quality, health, safety, environmental / sustainment, infrastructure and security initiatives across all sections.
Collaborate with other functional leaders in Canada to support enhancements to the Business Management System in conjunction with various Babcock Internation Group efforts.
Act as the alternate Babcock Canada representative at Babcock International Group Senior Leadership Team forums for Corporate Support’s remits.
Advise on operational plans and road maps that align to Babcock Canada’s strategic objectives and timelines and on the development of processes to enable more efficient and high-quality delivery of Babcock operations.
Coordinate provision of specialist advice from the Corporate Support team for Babcock contract bids and bid gate reviews.
Liaise with the Commercial and Sub-contracting teams to develop and manage applicable vendor relationships.
Coordinate the development and in-year management of the Corporate Support Budget.
