WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR…

We are looking for an experienced strategic leader with in-depth knowledge of cultural services, including statutory responsibilities, and an understanding of local authority and public sector strategies. You will have a proven ability to lead cultural and behavioural change, improving customer outcomes through innovative service delivery.
Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills are essential, alongside a commitment to excellent customer service. You will bring extensive senior management experience in a complex organisation, with a successful track record in policy development, partnership working, and delivering value for money services.
In this role, you will lead the Cultural services team, driving the development of new strategies to meet community needs while ensuring high performance standards.
We seek a leader who can foster a ‘one team’ culture, promote equal opportunities, and navigate political sensitivities with confidence, delivering positive outcomes for the Council and the communities it serves.
