To continue our efforts in this space, we are focusing on optimizing the experience where developers work the most, their IDE. The challenge ahead of the team is this: how might we empower the >15k software engineers at Capital One by optimizing their developer workspaces to both accelerate development and ensure the quality and well managed bar of each line of committed code. As a Product Manager on the DevX Product team, you will be part of the DevX, Delivery Experience team designing and delivering best-in-class solutions that improve the quality of life of our software delivery teams while maintaining the highest quality and security standards. This role sits at the heart of transforming the Capital One Developer Experience. You will be responsible for both defining and executing a strategy to optimize the developer workspace. You will partner with tech and design partners to deliver a pre-configured workspace fit with plugins that streamline and accelerate productivity in the innermost part of the developer workflow, the IDE.
This role advocates for the needs of the customer to inform the platform roadmap ensuring the capabilities being delivered are aligned with the intended business outcomes. You will be responsible for feature definition and partnering with tech teams to deliver platform features. The ideal candidate for this role is comfortable problem solving within a white space. You aren’t intimidated working alongside a team of technical experts, and you are able to transition between vision and near term prioritization with ease. The ideal candidate for this role is also passionate about technology and deeply empathizes with internal and external customer needs. They are comfortable in conversation with engineering teams as well as stakeholders ranging from data scientists to senior leaders.
