- Work with People & Culture partners to develop and influence policies
- Develop a DEI Council governance model based on current best practices and trends
- Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and legal requirements related to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Fostering Relationships:
- Act as a bridge between AIMCo and communities of interest throughout Alberta and beyond, shaping partnerships that are built on respect and mutual growth
- Provide guidance and support to employee resource groups (ERGs) to promote an inclusive and supportive workplace culture and Chair the DEI Council
- Serve as a resource and advisor to employees and managers on DEI-related issues, concerns, and best practices
- Executing Initiatives:
- Project manage the phases of PAIR certification in partnership with external experts, internal resources, and an established cross-organization working group
- Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate DEI principles into all aspects of the organization’s policies, practices, and processes.
- Lead the deployment and communication of the annual Self-ID survey
- Work with the Communications and Corporate Identity team to amplify DEI initiatives internally and externally
- Prioritize and celebrate the stories and traditions of diverse groups in creative and meaningful ways throughout the year
- Collaborate with HR, recruitment, and hiring managers to develop inclusive hiring practices and ensure diverse candidate pipelines
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of DEI initiatives and recommend adjustments as needed to drive continuous improvement and engagement
