JOB DESCRIPTION

We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Event Engagement to join our Ensemble Events team. This position requires a seasoned events professional with a broad, well-rounded set of skills, a high-level of energy, flexibility, and a demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
As part of the Events team, you will be the main liaison for our partners and members. Your role is to plan, manage and execute Ensemble events with a focus on managing requirements and the overall experience for our VIP members and partners/sponsors. The goal is to provide an exceptional attendee experience and establish Ensemble events as must-attend industry highlight. These events are revenue growth generators for our group of brands. The ideal candidate has a strong background in shaping relationships within the context of events, as well as B2B events management experience.
This role reports to the VP, Events, and will work closely with our Executive leadership as well as our Partner relations, Member relation and marketing and events team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of experience planning large in-person and virtual events
  • Proven experience in marketing, events, conferences, and project management.
  • Experience with CVENT event platform software preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, with the ability to create engaging presentations, design visual content, and effectively communicate key messages to stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel for events as necessary.
  • Travel or hospitality industry experience an asset.
  • Exceptional relationship building, networking and outreach skills.
  • Demonstrates extreme attention to detail and professionalism.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and connect effectively with multiple departments, partners and members.
  • On the pulse of the latest trends on content, trends, marketing, events and innovations.
  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically.
  • Ability to work autonomously in an agile, fast paced, entrepreneurial environment with a track record of taking ownership and driving results.
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency, and deliver under tight deadlines/time frames; prioritize workload
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to set priorities based on alignment with business goals and strategic direction, define timelines and deliver to commitments.

Responsibilities:

Partner/Speaker/Sponsor Support

  • Oversee the partner event experience, including VIP partners and sponsors.
  • Ensure a consistent event journey for partners across all events.
  • Coordinate with the Partner Relations team to support sponsorship execution.
  • Communicate partner requirements to leadership during events.
  • Identify communication needs for speakers and sponsors before, during, and after events.
  • Support conference speakers and manage onsite rehearsals.
  • Collect assets, videos, and presentations to ensure sponsorship commitments are met.
  • Maintain Ensemble brand standards in external speaker content.
  • Identify ways to enhance sponsor or speaker value.

Member Support

  • Oversee the member event experience, including VIP members.
  • Ensure a consistent event journey for members across all events.
  • Communicate member requirements to leadership during events.
  • Coordinate with the Member Relations team on member experience support.
  • Identify communication needs for members before, during, and after events.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • VIP stakeholder engagement - executive, sponsor, top member, partner event experience including transportation, rooming, and extra special touches where possible.
  • Develop VIP stakeholder event experiences throughout planning and execution for an improved VIP experience and value creation for these important attendees.
  • Work with member/partner-facing teams to identify event needs and opportunities.

Event Management

  • Plan and deliver a portfolio of Ensemble events.
  • Oversee the primary functional area throughout all Ensemble events.
  • Utilize project management tools and timelines for all major event initiatives. Monitor progress and manage to keep production on track.
