Responsibilities:

Provide strategic support to the Risk Owner for Financial Reporting and Tax Risk (including Reg Reporting and Treasury) in HSBC Innovation Banking, who is HSBC Innovation Banking Chief Financial Officer, by embedding the key aspects of controls within First Line of Defence
Supporting HSBC Innovation Banking CFO towards embedding of risk management framework, including, but not limited to:
Effective issue identification, reporting and remediation.
Control design and operating effectiveness testing and remediation of any gaps
Risk event identification, reporting and resolution.
Facilitating Risk and Controls Assessment RCAs for Financial Reporting and Tax Risks which identify the key risks, their impact, and relevant controls.
Preparation of report on Internal control environment for Board Audit Committee.
Running the monthly Finance Risk Forum to highlight the key areas of focus for the Finance Leadership team.
Being a key member of the Finance leadership team and support the CFO in timely identification, reporting and resolution of control gaps.
Oversight of monthly balance sheet reconciliation process and reporting / recording and escalating any ARCC exceptions.
Establishing and embedding Financial Control Strategy- Collaborate with management to develop key business control strategies and controls to mitigate related risks.
Facilitate the timely remediation of control deficiencies and process improvements by working closely with the business to verify design, timing, and expectations are aligned and met.
Requirements
You must be in a senior risk role that demonstrates and underpins your knowledge or Risk Governance and Frameworks, Compliance & Controls, including Non-Financial Risk Management.
Significant knowledge and experience of regulatory requirements and industry-wide best practice relating to finance risk management and governance.
Solid experience implementing and managing Risk Management Framework or SOX Framework and Policies.
Auditor or Risk & Controls specialist with knowledge and experience of risks impacting Financial Reporting
